The Research Department "Archeology" was established in 2014. Currently, the department employs 2 senior researchers, 2 researchers. The head of the department of the Team Sabit Turlybekovich.

Employees of the department conduct archaeological research of historical and cultural monuments located in the Otyrar region, and monitor restoration and reconstructive work on the monuments. Conducts work in the following areas, guided by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan and international legislation;

⦁ Belgileidi establishes the protected territory of monuments, is engaged in filling out a scientific passport and a report card;

⦁ Depending on the specifics of the location of the historical object, it organizes the receipt of a state act, the examination of the identified historical and cultural monument and measures to determine the status of the monument;

⦁ Participates in programs and projects implemented at international and republican degrees, organizes expeditions and exhibitions, publishes joint scientific papers, participates in international and republican scientific conferences and seminars;
