Night Journey into the Past

​   ​​In the Otyrar district, a cultural event titled “Otyrar: A Night Journey into the Past” was held as part of the annual international Museum Night campaign. The event was organized by the Otyrar State Archaeological Museum-Reserve, a republican state institution under the Committee of Culture of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The official opening ceremony was attended by:
Aidos Kulmakhanov, Deputy Akim of the Otyrar District;
Ualikhan Uzakov, Chairman of the District Maslikhat;
Aibek Zhandosov, Director of the Otyrar State Archaeological Museum-Reserve.
The distinguished guests congratulated the participants and visitors of the event and emphasized the importance of such initiatives aimed at promoting historical values and preserving cultural heritage.

​Crafts of Otyrar Masters Were Showcased

​   ​​The cultural caravan of the Otyrar district arrived in the sacred city of Turkistan, bringing with it a rich spiritual and artistic heritage. The opening speech of the event was delivered by a native of this region — poet and Hero of Labor of Kazakhstan, Mukhtar Shakhanov. He expressed his gratitude to the creative team that actively promotes national art and traditions. The audience enjoyed theatrical portrayals of outstanding historical figures who hold a special place in the nation’s spiritual life, including the great scholar Al-Farabi, the legendary strongman Hajimukan Munaitpasov, and the “King of Waltz” Shamshi Kaldayakov. Under the open sky, spectators watched a theatrical performance that reflected the wisdom and legacy of their ancestors. According to the organizers, the artists from the treasure-filled land of Otyrar brought numerous cultural gifts to the people of Turkistan. Sagyntai Kuttybai, Head of the Otyrar District Department of Culture, Language Development, Physical Education and Sports, noted:
